All About Me
Hi there! And welcome to my blog. I’m so glad that you found An Organised Home and want to know a little bit more about me.
My name is Nikki, and I am a wife of 22 years and mum to Zac who is 15. I am a part time worker, a full time keeper of our abode, and a lover of anything to do with organisation. I wish I could say I have a perfect home, but alas, my place is not perfect or spotless. So if you are thinking that is what you are going to find here, back it up baby. No such luck.
What I Am Hoping To Offer
What I am hoping to offer is some insight on how us “unmotivated mums” get through the mundane, day to day tasks of life, and come out the other side unscathed.
I describe myself as someone who borders between “OCD” and “Oh my Lord, do I really need to get off the couch and do that???” As a result, my productivity varies quite a bit. Hence, why I am trying to find ways to keep things on track with the least amount of effort.
At times, I am “Highly Unmotivated”, while other days, I am like a lean, mean, cleaning machine. Well, maybe not the lean part. But you get the idea.
How I Hope To Do That
I love my lists and I keep a list for everything. A daily to do list, a master to do list, a weekly cleaning schedule, calendars, project planners, you name it, I have it. And I plan on sharing those with you.
I truly live by “A place for everything, and everything in it’s place.” I love to be able to find whatever I need, when I need it, rather than searching endlessly for items I can’t find.
But most of all, I love the feeling of having someone knock on my door unannounced. And knowing that I don’t have to go into panic mode. Because every thing is pretty organised.
